I’m all about capturing photos that feel real. I love images with a bit of fade—like a memory. Photos with grit and character. Sometimes they’re blurry or the lighting’s not quite right. But when you see them, they pull you into the moment, with that raw, honest beauty that only comes from photos that chase feelings, not perfection.

The thing is...

life isn’t always ‘picture perfect,’ and I’m not here to pretend it is. So, if you're looking for crisp, sharp, glossy images, I’m probably not your gal.

At my heart, I love stories. I love that everyone experiences the same moments through different perspectives, each of us seeing something distinct.

I voraciously devoured books as a child. I was the kid staying up way past bedtime, promising myself “just one more page,” as my eyelids grew heavy. I bargained with my parents, rushing to wrap up homework so I could snuggle up and get read to. 

I’ve always been insatiable for stories. For other experiences. Perspectives. Lives.

Photography has become my favorite medium for storytelling. As an angsty teen wrapped up in “supposed tos” and “should bes” - photography helped me tell stories when I couldn’t get the words out. A camera in my hand helped me find a place where my spinning thoughts and observations of the world around me made sense.

I was my first subject, taking self-portraits with my tripod and remote. With time, I started shooting my friends, capturing moments big and small, always seeking nuance and honesty. In 2013 I shot my first wedding for a friend, and from there my love for photography only grew into what it is today.

No matter how many weddings I shoot, there are always moments that I find my
breath catches in my throat  & I cannot believe how lucky I am to be doing this.

At my heart I love stories.

A lot of photography is the art of observation. Observing the light. The atmosphere. The people. Waiting for certain moments, certain emotions. It’s bearing witness to the beautiful & divine & meaningful. And celebrating it through preservation. 

Every moment feels like it calls to a certain camera or medium & I’ve honed the craft of following that call- creating a gallery that both cohesively and distinctly tells your story from a place of honesty and reflection. I’ll carry 3-4 cameras with me on your wedding day - so I never have to wish I had the right one present to capture a precious memory as it unfolds.  

As much as possible, I try to be a “fly on the wall.” If needed, I’ll step in and provide gentle direction with awareness of your timeline, wishes, and honoring what each moment calls for. 

I want your gallery to feel like a museum of your favorite memories. A collection of moments that come from a place of beckoning and vulnerability. I want them to make you laugh, and cry, and fall in love all over again. 

I want your children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren & generations to come to see these moments, feel them, and discover pieces of your truest self as they look back through your memories.
