Picking your venue sets the style and tone for your wedding, and once you have your location and date you can begin booking other vendors like your photographer and florist. Here are a few of my favorites in the Roseburg area to help you get started!
Concord Estate – a uniquely designed house to rent for your whole wedding party to rest, relax & have the celebration of your dreams.
Parrott House – a gorgeous historic venue with lots of details & architecture.
Old Riverbed Venue – the pond is such a highlight for this venue!
Melrose Vineyard – gorgeous, classy, and lush, this vineyard venue is to die for.
KC Ranches and Weddings – the sweetest spot for your ranch style wedding.
Terringer Farm – the sweetest spot for an outdoorsy wedding.
Spire Mountain Cellars – the prettiest of vineyard views off the balcony that can be open air to the reception room or closed off with window filled doors. I loved shooting here!
Valley View Ranch – tucked away near Creswell, this is a popular venue with outdoorsy vibes.
Azalea Mountain Venue – for the red barn lovers, this venue is the perfect outdoorsy farm backdrop.
All photos from the venue, aside from Spire Mountain are sourced from the venues themselves.
My favorite resources are google, wedding blogs like PNWweddings and Oregon Wedding Day, Instagram, and other vendors.
If you’re searching on Google, make sure you use different phrases in your search, as well as search on the maps, not just the standard search results.
The Knot, Wedding Wire, and Zola are nationwide sites with vendor directories as well. Most if not all platforms like this require venues and vendors to pay to participate, so take any ‘favorites’ or promotions on these sites with a grain of salt! They’re more like paid ads than genuine recommendations.
Searching on Instagram can be done with tags, locations & from account names, so there’s many ways and phrases to help you find something! ‘Roseburg Wedding Venue’ ‘Melrose Wedding Venue’ and ‘Douglas County Wedding Venue’ might all give you different results! It’s the same in your Google searching.
Asking a planner or coordinator is also an amazing resource for venues, they’ll know the ins and outs of more venues, as well as be able to help you in what questions you should be asking venues.
Once you’ve decided on venues, it’s time for other vendors!
If you have vendors you’re set on, inquire and book with them first! Otherwise, order of importance goes: 1. Venue 2. Planner/Coordinator 3. Photography 4. Florist
